U.S. Olive Drab B-2 Parka in size Large. This was made by Aero Leather Co. of Beacon, NY with a 1944 Contract Date and the Spec. number is 3172.

The label pictured is from the matching B-2 trousers, the parka is a D-2, spec. 3171 (same contract).

Regarding it being rare ... the seller is probably correct.

Now why would he show the label from the B-2 trousers and not the jacket label? Perhaps he just got confused and has the trousers as well. These Aero D-2 jackets do turn up on Ebay from time to time and without numbers for the contract its hard to know how rare or otherwise this jacket is.

Presumably the jacket has the incorrect label, possibly it was born like that. They are both the same contract number, and the label doesn't say TROUSERS.
