I wear a 12 in d width but an 11 1/2 in EE is what a wear and IIRC these are 11 1/2 EE.

I've been trying to contact WWII Impressions for most of the day and all I got was a busy signal. I was persistent and when I finally got through I got a message that they were closed today and their normal business hours were 9-5 Monday -Friday. I took into account the time difference when I called so ....has anyone had difficulty getting through to them?

Are they that reddish out of the box, or did you apply cordovan polish?

They have a reddish cast to them right outta the box.
That's funny, because WWIII specifically calls them "brown."

Seem like the link is busted. Heres what it says:
Cordovan is a rich shade of burgundy and a dark shade of rose. Cordovan takes its name from the city of Cordoba, Spain, where the production of shell cordovan leather was first practiced by the Visigoths in the seventh century.[2] The term cordovan has come to describe the color of clothing, leather in particular.
The first recorded use of cordovan as a color name in English was in 1925.[3]
