smoke odor from sheepskin?

picked up a nice sheepskin b-2 hat, but the previous owner was obviously a smoker or lived with smokers, any ideas on how to get the odor out?

Put it in a closed box with a large open saucepan of vinegar - it's surprising how much odor the vinegat absorbs.

Then hang outside for a few days if necessary.

thanks for the tip, I am going to give it a try. any idea on how long I should leave it in the box?

It worked for me. A good airing helps.

did the vinegar trick for a week, open container of vinegar in an enclosed box. Seemed to get the smell out, letting it air out now.
