SAC-thingy from 1956

Picked this up on ebay for about $9.95 (and shipping about twice that amount), the representation of the SAC-emblem looked so attractive fifties to me compared with what they used from the sixties up to The End of SAC. Mint state condition with staining from what I assume to be caused by the acids in the cardboard/glue holding it all together. The box is printed with Beau Brummell Victory Insignia Scarf. Very pretty collector's item for a very decent price.

I remember air crew wearing scarves like that but with a regular patch stitched on in the 80's.

Love SAC stuff. My favourite station and home was always Brize Norton which was a SAC base in it's day
