Rough Wear W535-ac-18091 question

I just acquired a Rough Wear 18091 1941 contract and I believe they were all made from goatskin, is that correct? Also this one has a Crown zipper added during a depot refurbish. Did they ever come out of the factory fitted with a Crown zipper or were they strictly fitted with a Talon zipper?

They were all made from goatskin. They originally had an M-39 Talon zipper.

Thanks guy, the decal on the arm says US Air Force so I assume the depot refurbish was done post war (possibly before the Korean war). Interesting thta they put a Crown zipper that late in the game...
