Redye Of Repro A-2

What is the purpose of redying a repro A-2 that is around 10-15 years old? I'm thinking about buying a redyed jacket however, I'm not sure the redying is an effort to hide problems. Should I be concerned? :?

Though bear in mind that when the Air Force redyed the jackets they weren't even that old.
