Pre-WW2 USPS sheepskin flying jacket...

Yes the price is OTT for what appears to be a 1940s civilian jacket. The style of Talon zip, assuming its original to the jacket, is mid/late War. Once again AAH is being economical with the truth.

Very little Air Associates clothing turns up.
It was a mail order supply house that offered many items besides clothing.
There's a rumor they sold their own label A-2 early in the 30s.

Andrew, page 153 of your Full Gear book, shows Air Associates flying suits with the similar Talon zipper, and 1935 catalogue pages illustrating the suits.

The preceding page illustrates a jacket similar to the eBay auction, and from the same date ... this one with a wonderful, heavy duty, riveted KWIK.

Again, the catalogue pages in Full Gear, show the A-2 in 1934 ... Cordovan Brown Horse-hide, $14.85.

They also offered B-2's, B-3's, and a variety of coats, and flying suits.
