Pics of Chruch M422-A

Hi, gents:
Things calmed down a bit today, so I took a few pics of the 'new' jacket. No photo essayist, I, as you will quickly see. Notes to go with the pics:
1) The mouton is very nice
2) The jacket has been in storage for several years. As a result, the pocket flaps have developed some creases. Also, the buttons are missing.
3) The lining has a few small wear holes, especially around the collar, where one would expect to see some wear.
4) The zipper is broken, right at the end.
All of these features are visible, I think, in the pics. The fit is spot on, and the hide, as I said yesterday, is great.
This is really cool jacket. It'll get worn.

Great looking jacket. I am looking forward to seeing it in person. I used to own a size 38 Chuch and it was too big at the shoulders.

Hello, Curahee:
Re: the maker (Church). Church is the only maker of any Navy flight leathers, M422-A, 55J14, or G-1 whose size 42 fits me. Everyone else, I need a size 44 to fit--the shoulders are too small, the chest to tight with other makers. So, Church gets an 'A' from me for fit. Next, the leather is nearly seventy years old and still supple, rich, and tight. The mouton Church used doesn't have a flaw in it. I'd put Church near the top of the class.

Very nice. Fit looks good. Are these cut longer/skinnier than later G1s?

I can help you out here. I also have a really nice original Church m422A . They are definitely longer in the body but I wouldn't say they are skinnier. I wear 44's in original A-2 jackets. My Church is a 44 as well.
