His jacket was a standard 1942 Werber B-3 with theatre-added elongated rank strips.

In the name of science I've done some measuring...

My ELC YMC jacket size 44. From the edge of the leather (not fur) I'd say it's a 4 3/4" collar.

A size 46" ELC .5 cal is 1/2" larger

Unless my memory is playing tricks wasn't Patton's jacket up for auction a while back ?

I think you are confusing this jacket with McArthur's RW A2 which was auctioned a few years back. Patton's family donated the jacket along with his personal artefacts to the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armour at Fort Knox in 1972. The jacket has remained there ever since.
