Apart from bespoke causal wear & repros, I also collect originals jkts.

Those patches look a little too clean, and overly low on the sleeve for a period original?

Yes exactly what I thought - jacket looks legit but patches look like they are new repro additions!

just my opinion - it's sad to place a repro patch on an original jacket

i place a repro patch on a repro jacket - but never on an original

    i repeat, just my opinion

    those are my jacket

original one - with original patch and ranks

    Nice originals!

Yep - no repop stuff mixed with originals

If an original jacket didn’t come patched I would not put a patch on the jacket , even an original patch. In my opinion it takes an original artifact and changes the historical significance of the item. Just my opinion.

But in your post about the A-2 deck jacket with the submarine stencil you said that you were going to age a patch and sew it on the jacket !
