New Old Stock examples never get old. This Vietnam era G-1 was made by the prolific Irwin B. Foster Sptswear Co. under contract no. DSA-10003081 in fiscal year, 1966. This company was awarded 5 contracts for the G-1 during the 60's. This would be their last contract awarded and the last from the "C" series as well.

The condition of this jacket is immaculate. All parts are original to the jacket.

Goatskin leather is supple.

The mouton fur collar is pristine, and comes in a dark chocolate.

Inside lining is spotless.

Scovill zipper is mint and works perfectly.

Knits are flawless, which is rare even for N.O.S. examples.

Needless to say, finding examples in this condition after 5 decades is extremely rare.

Very nice one - like always, great to see that you share pictures of your collection! This is a very unique label, as the contract number is dash free. Is it a design error for the label, where in fact the third zero should be a dash [like for any DSA contract number from 1966]?

Yes, Erwin. I agree on the contract number looking a bit rare compared to other DSA contracts, but certainly all the numbers are correct to the period. In fact, you can find other sizes from this specific contract with the same nomenclature.

Indeed it looks strange how the weaved number was designed [if this is an error/typo this would be even more interesting about the label from the collector's perspective]. I haven't seen any DSA contract number with an omitted dash from 1966. I haven't spotted this before. Have you seen that aberration on any other DSA contract number?
