anyone know who L & T sportswear is?

It is a fictitious contract number but I can't find existence of L & T.
I've seen a couple of reproduction jackets with this label.

I found an L&T Sportswear in Geraldine, Alabama, but I doubt they were ever in LA, since they seem to be basically a feed and grain store that also sells clothing. Another possibility is Lord and Taylor. There's a Lord and Taylor 1970s jacket on Ebay right now. The problem, though, is that it has a Lord & Taylor label, not the label shown in your picture. (Later edit BTW, there was a complete jacket up on AuctionZip back in 2010. You can find it by googling the contract number.

It could stand for Lord and Taylor, although Lord and Taylor is i think based out of New York. You'd think the label would be marked New York and not Los Angeles but you never know.
