Really interesting thread. I note the pic for sale shows Marvin Lubner's A2 with the 23rd FG 'Flying Tiger' patch yet Andrews jacket has the later 118th Recon patch so different A2 or Andrew, does your A2 shows stitch holes of the former 23rd patch?
Not unlikely he could have been issued/changed his jacket given that officially they were USAAF property and not given to whom they was issued to? Wonderful if provenance can be proven!

This is not the same jacket Wayne. This patch would have left a very distinctive needle pattern on the leather, which is absent on my jacket. It may not even have been his jacket but a borrowed one for the photo. It does not look like the same jacket he is wearing when seated in his P-40.
