Jacket Collar Snaps do not want to Unsnap

Hi Everyone.

I just purchased a nice Branded Orchard A-2 from their 1992 contract, and the Collar Snaps do not seem to want to unsnap, even if pulled on a bit hard.

Have any of you experienced this with your jackets? How were you able to safely Unsnap the stubborn snaps?

Is it best to just leave the Collar Snapped?

Thanks so much!

Be careful. If it seems like it's going to rip through stop. If the leather is dry around the snaps condition it so it is more elastic and strong. You may be able to work a very small flat head screwdriver in between the snap halves and pry them apart.

Thanks John and Silver Surfer for the ideas…something to prevent further issues seems like a good idea.
