An image for our friends who have gone on before us by havocpaul.
Beautiful. Make it a "sticky" please...
Already is - but thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for this, Bill, and to Paul for the very touching artwork.
Maybe one of the forums could be named after David...? Just a thought; it would be nice to have a continuing testament to his presence here.
Sorry Bill - couldn't tell on the view I use. Thank you.
just back home from work
as every day, opening my pc
as everyday, log to VLJ
but now with a different feeling......something's wrong
the best of us is missing
i got the blues.....
a day, we will be again together....
see you there
I think this is a good idea. Perhaps this forum could be entitled something like: "Gone But Not Forgotten...Dedicated to the Memory of David Brown (deeb7)"
Thank you Bill, that has to be one of the most immediate and emotional drawings I've ever done, a tribute to a great man and dear friend to us all in this small community, and all those who have gone before us...members always in our memories.
well donr bill , i think the sketch says it all ...
Thanks for the forum designation.
I think it is a fitting testimony to one who served as a VLJ lynchpin.
"Now he belongs to the ages."
What happened??? Does anyone know?
He was our walking and talking memory and archivist: almost instanteneous after posing a question, the relevant thread was posted by him, or other stuff from the Net.
I liked him a lot, from afar, but such are the wonders of life on the internet.
I was going through some old posts and found this picture of David. I'm sure theres a few more pics of him on the site somewhere.
If you don't mind I'll add this to David's (Bevan's) original post
Bill, that would be great! I'll look around and see if I cant locate some more pictures of Dave. It seems like there was one of him in his McCoys L-2 on here somewhere.
I still can't believe he's gone...
Heres another pic of Dave, I believe the last one he posted on VLJ.
He was worried that he "looked like a matador" in that jacket.
This has been a shock to everyone on the forum.
Refering back to Peters' question:
Has any information been shared on what happened?
i like to wish anniversary (birthday)....
but this is a one i don't like
already one year
David, you still missing many of us, no; not just many.... all of us
see you later, when our time will come
Hard to believe that much time has gone by.
Blimey, twelve months already. One of David's last posts was on my 'Happy Birthday' thread last year. Coupla days later he was gone. Here's to you, David.
