Hang your jackets in a cupboard / closet with sliding doors?

Do you hang your jackets up on a nice broad hanger in a cupboard or closet with sliding doors? You'd better sit up and take notice.
Make sure your cupboard or closet is wide enough so that the sliding doors don't rub on the jacket! After moving in to a new home, and hung a few jackets up for the summer, over time the sliding doors have made quite noticable abrasions or burnishes in a few of my jackets. Thankfully I found this before any really bad damage occurred, and none of my originals have been affected.
I'll be moving all my jackets to safer location now...

My brother , a Museum Curator, would be horrified.
He states " NEVER REPEAT NEVER EVER HANG YOUR VINTAGE CLOTHING"
The items own wieght will cause it to become damaged.
My buddy had a great Irvin given to him.
He promptly hung it up and about 2 weeks later thewooden hanger had gone right thru the shoulders and the jacket was laying in a heap on the closet floor  :(
