G-1 dating question.

A friend is considering buying a G-1. He sent me a few pics and asked if I could date it. It’s got no label. The jacket has USN stamped into the windflap, brown lining, non scalloped pockets and a real mouton collar. The zipper is a small toothed rectangular puller Talon, but I suspect that it may be a replacement. I told him that I reckon it’s from around 1960. I haven’t a clue about the maker. Can anyone date it more accurately ?

Hi Peter,
It does look like a 7823 LW Foster with that small collar. Zip and wrist knits look replaced.

I'm with you Peter on the 60's date but as to the maker I've no idea!
