Fit Check: Aero 42-15142-P

Hi Everyone,
This forum was a big factor in my decision to purchase my first A2 Jacket. I was originally going for a 5* Dubow as a starter but I eventually decided to choose Aero as they had a ready stock model closest to my body measurements and I was really interested in trying out horsehide. Holly was very helpful and she did advice me that the jacket I was interested in was gonna have a relaxed fit compared to my actual chest size (39-40). I really didnt know what I was getting myself into so I just bit the bullet and a week later the jacket came.

What do you guys think about the fit? According to some A2 Facebook groups and my friends the jacket looks just fine. In my opinion it also looks the part for a "period correct" fit as seen in the vintage photos. The fit feels just right on the arms and shoulders with a slight puff on the chest area. A week into owning an A2 Im now planning to get another in a more trim fit for Summer wear so Im now reaching out to Platon. What size would you all recommend if Im going for a slimmer fit on the Platon Dubow that I can layer with just a shirt?

Aero Contract No. 42-15142-P

Size 42 in Seal Jerky HH
Pit to Pit: 22.5"
Sleeve: 24.75"
Back: 25.5"
Shoulder: 18"

My Measurements:

Chest: 39in
Chest Expanded: 40in

Here are some photos. Some are screenshots I've taken in a video review Im editing. I would really appreciate your expert opinions since you've all owned A2's way longer than me. Thank you and cheers from Southeast Asia!

I like the fit . Some may say the arms are too long but they will crease up a bit and shorten with time and wear. Others might think it’s too big in the body but I think that’s better than t shirt tight. Just my opinions of course.
Thank you, I have no experience with fits of different contracts so I'm not sure how to size up in case I decide to get the Platon Dubow. Based on Platon's measurements do you think It'd be wise to size down all the way to 38 if Im going for T-shirt tight look? Or would 40 be a safe bet. Now I really get why everyone here tries to find the "perfect" jacket.

looks like ya nailed it, ld dude. welcome to the abusement park, and stick around. ps: agreed about the arm thing. they will shorten with arm creasing, in not too of a long time.
Thanks, much appreciated. Ill update maybe after 6months or so. Hopefully it'll drape and conform more.

Check with Platon, I think that last time I checked their website they were no longer accepting any new orders.
For a slimmer fit I'd go for a 40 with Platon, a 38 would be really tight imo.
