But, taking a look at the original on the site alongside the repro the skin doesn't appear to age like this.

When I saw the .50 Cal version on display at Duxford Flying Legends show I really thought it was terrible.
I know later they moved the mannequin to the back of the counter rather than to the for front.
Coincidence or bad comments !!!

I am in favour of the .50 Cal treatment on the A2's I have seen and owed and also in the imagery here and on the Eastman website for the B3/6 etc
so I am not agianst the treatment provided its done well.

The one I saw just looked bleached out and lifeless
For me the .50 Cal A1 version is wrong.

I think leather needs to be buffed and burnished not sanded or abraded.
