DONALD BLAKESLEE

Not sure anyone reported this yet, but a friend of mine gave me the obituary for Donald Blakeslee. While commanding the 4th FG, Blakeslee flew nearly 500 missions and had about 1,000 combat hours. The 4th was credited with more German aircraft destroyed than Zemke's 56th FG. Sad to hear another great one has passed.

Thanks a lot for posting that, Grant. I had heard about it shortly after Col. Blakeslee passed away. He will definitely be missed......a true legend in American history.......in my opinion!
