Did Monarch G-1 ever have a seam in the cuff?

I would like to buy a Monarch G-1 but I suspect that the knits were changed at one point. I added pictures of what I am talking about. THe knit are 3" long and there is a seam running down there length. Are those original Monarch knits?

No, they're. Replacement. There should be no seam. And they don't seem to match the colour of the waist knit colour either

Close up. I think it definetely shows the knits were replaced as the stitching on the leather is white white the stitching of the cuffs is brown. It also looks like there is some remaining white thread there.

Tom, no way should original cuff knits have a seam.

You could buy it, have the sleeve cut just above the seam and install proper knits properly.
