I sure don't see how they get '40 L' from those measurements..!
Is this how ELC normally sizes their shearling..?

Your right Van.
The seller is Mexican and perhaps he is confused with imperial measurements ?

re: measurements, seem to be standard elc measurements for a size 42 in the pre broken grain b-6. also, i have done business with the seller [cesar], and he is a stand up guy. its a damn shame that there are those that have a low opinion of our friends in mexico.

I too like Cesar, and my comments about measurements were not meant to be negative. I assume they use the metric system there rather than inches ?

The measurements seem bang on ! I've got an older B6 Roughwear size 44.

chest 26"
length down back 26"
shoulders 23"
arms 24 1/2 "

The current pattern is more waisted and slightly smaller.

I think that jacket is one of the later non-veg tanned ones. There is no tan bleed through on the skin. It's white in cross section (just visible in the cuff shot). The mk1 jackets also have a satin finish, not shiny or completely matte.
