    Well, it's a second type 'C' helmet with internal wiring and a post WW11 'H' type mask. The mask was tested in 1943 and issued in 1944 initially issued to high altitude photo recon pilots. A small number were manufactured prior to 1945, they remained in service until the 1980's. Thanks to Mick Prodger for the info.
    Still a very good buy.

    Thanks Steve and expertly noticed. I was wondering though whether the helmet is Braham's and the rest are just add-ons. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened!

    Perhaps it is a long shot but would be wonderful if did turn out to be "Bob's" ;)
