I had never seen a B-29 in person until this past summer at Oshkosh. Just as we were driving into town, Fifi was in the pattern and flew directly over us. I'm sure my jaw hit the dashboard. What a beautiful airplane!

That would be a great sight...the B-29..one of the great transition planes of the 20th century. Look at the technology in aviation prior to 1941, ah, in the US, and then in 1944. Granted it had faults, but was pushed into service to do a job, what do we call it now, risk assessment.
Served us well in Korea and then modified as the B-50. Very cool plane Underrated too at times.
