Hi,
I thought why don't we make a list of movies in which stars wear A-2 jacket for reference purposes....

Let me start

Film / Star
--------------
The War Lover / Steve McQueen, Robert Wagner
The Great Escape / Steve McQueen
The Flying Tigers / John Wayne
Pearl Harbor / Alec Baldwin, Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett
The Hitcher / Thomas C Howell

Any others? Please help complete this list

The Right Stuff is Sam Shepard

Also:-
The Thing from another World-Kenneth Tobey
When a man loves a woman-Andy Garcia (and Meg Ryan)-ANJ-3?
The Greatest show on Earth-Charlton Heston

Are we including all flight jackets here, or just A-2's? And are we talking about originals, or repros, of which there are any number of ropey ones in any number of films?

1) Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo, 1944

Van Johnson & Spencer Tracy

What's interesting to me is that the movie was done in 1944 and appears to use issue A-2's . .until you see the back of the jacket with a horizontal "A-1" style upper back seam . . . Maybe Hollywood had their own versions made up . .

2) MacArthur, 1977

Gregory Peck

Note that the windflap appears to be on the wrong side (right side) . .instead of left

Does anyone remember that WW I based blimp movie with Michael York? Have sort of been looking for that on DVD. If memory does not fail me, they had some pretty good WW I German leather blimp jackets.

My request was for A-2 not all flight jackets.
Original or repros doesn't matter.

Wing nut, earlier in the shooting and when the trailer was made it was Wayne but afterwards they changed it to Bill.
