Any experience on the sizing, @CBI? Wide range (i.e., 45-48) for an XL. Just curious...good deal!

Not with this jacket, its a new item for them. Generally, pretty accurate to go within your marked size. Many of the uniform items baggy.

Thanks. Looks wider than long, so I'm not sure I want to try it...but it's a great deal and looks nice.

these jackets are a bit shorter than one might think. That's standard with originals and high-end repros.

Just sold my blue BR 44... If only they were blue. Might give one a go anyway. Can stencil USCG onto it.. Then flip my 44R RM N-1...

Fantastic deal - you have to love ATF's special deals, they really are damn good.

Although an awesome price, I'm holding out for the Kanaljacke, can't wait for that one.

I was going to pounce and grab a set of Navy dungaree trousers. US$114 shipping put a stop to that?

That's it Couchy! His shipping charges are way off the scale, at least double of pretty much all other UDS dealers.

Hell's bloody bells, that's steep mate! And I thought shipping to here was on the pricey side with ATF. One prob with Oz, getting stuff shipped over (unless it's from NZ) is usually a bit on the nose. Although one of the worst I had was a guy in WA I was going to buy a jacket from, and he quoted something like 80 bucks to Melb FFS!! Needless to say he got the old Darryl Kerrigan answer in response.

I just grabbed two replacement 13 star tack buttons for $4.00 from ATF so I figured I might as well grab a jacket on special as well. Only USD$89.45 for the shipping less the dungarees.

Worst case I can claim it as a tax deduction as field gear. M43 liner and M43 jackets got across the line this year and the M43 liner got rave reviews at Murray Bridge (Murray Fridge). It's gonna be a great jacket, even better for the price. Guess the USN dungarees wait.

ATF has sold out most of these. They are extending the sale, a few L and XL left. They will re-stock next year.

I was so fast on the trigger, I bought the second N-1 they sold. That, according to the lady who answered their telephone when I called, the other day.

I'd love to post photos of it when it arrives, but I no longer know how. I've stopped using photobucket and I can't figure out how to upload photos from my iPad directly to this site. The Hat Lounge offers that option, but if it's available here, I've yet to figure it out.

I know, I know, pics or it didn’t happen. Yes, I need to figure out a new non Photobucket way to add pics, just need a few moments. Jacket arrived. Possibly best $99 spent on a vintage cloth jacket. If you are looking for an exact WW2 copy, BR is still the way to go however this jacket sure LOOKS great. The cloth is heavyweight but not as heavy as an original. It is not a stiff as an original. The acrylic lining is COMFORTABLE. Wearing it the “fur” collar, looks the part for sure. Think of this an a modern ergonomic version on a WW2 N-1. Reminds me of their fleece lined tanker jacket. Not as historically correct but WAY close enough and a super fun jacket. Externally, this ATF N-1 is pretty convincing with no issues at all. The only noticeable difference is the drape of the jacket which is not quite a stiff (talking hardly any differences really). From a wearer’s perspective, prefer this ATF to an original or BR. I won’t sell my BR but I can see me grabbing ATF for actual wearing. If you don’d have a repro N-1, buy one of these ATF models and call it a day! Regular price of these ATF models is $170 vs. $650 for a BR. Once worn in, will be as cool looking and frankly the ATF will be more comfortable IMO. When worn, looks REALLY close to an original only lacks the feel/weight.

No, no, no... One should consider buying Couchy's RM N-1 (rare 44R) and then buy an ATF repro... (Jedi mind swipe)...

Navy Deck Zip next... Just sold one on eBay for US$165, buyer whined from the snipe at the end of the auction right up until he got it. Was expecting a brand new jacket for that price. I offered a full refund of the $165, $45 shipping AND I would pay all return shipping. I regretted the sale right up. I offered a refund before I shipped it as he was upset that the shipping was 'excessive'. I subsidized it. He could have had surface for that price!

So to the minions at ATF.. US Navy Deck Zip... GO!
