Are these WW2 flight gloves?

    I've done a bit of research and they are also similar to paratrooper gloves and tanker gloves but so far so haven't found any with the wartime Newey poppers/press studs attached.

    Apparently the Newey studs were to attach removable silk or wool liners and these would have been stamped with identifying marks.

    I think officer gloves were privately sourced making it difficult to nail down.

    As Dave said above, officer gloves were often private purchase.

    My Dad's officer gloves (although RNZAF from the late 40s/early 50s) have Newey studs.
