AAF survival knife? Really?

I bought a cigar box full of pocket knives, p-38's, and other small items. I found one of the slide button knives. Any truth to the worthpoint story?

I don't know, but my Mom had one of these knives in her Girl scout stuff. As a kid, I thought it was really fun to play.

I looked a little more and there's several googles that say so, mostly worthpoint and ebay feedback profiles. But I have never seen reference to it anywhere else. I just expected it to be a novelty thing when I started looking.

Finally found a picture of one in a small aluminum survival case for the military. Patented in 1937 but I think the company is still in business, and still making them. Will keep this one on my key chain.
