Couple of new Prototypes today.... first is my take on a 1930's Moto/Aviator cap, as might have been made by LeatherTogs of Everett, Mass (If they had made caps). This prototype is made from a Heavy Cotton Drill, hand dyed in OD#3. The peak or brim is made from a 10oz, Veg Tanned, Horsehide "Strap", which has been hand dyed and polished in a dark russet with a matching strap. Horse Strap is the part of the horse directly North of the Rump and has very much a similar characteristic to the "Shell Cordovan" used for shoes and costing a small fortune!! This is an unlined summer cap, for the prototype, but we will probably line these down the road. Ciao for now, DD
