1930 Lewis Leathers jacket

I had hoped, probably foolishly, that this might be missed. But it seems to have become a hot item.
A 1930's style flight/utility type jacket, brown leather. Provenance since 1957.
I think it's worth a grand, but with undisclosed bidder ID's, I just don't have the confidence.

I saw that too, so glad it's not my size and with the damage it would be too risky...guess it'll sadly be off to Japan. can't we set up a lottery fund to keep historic jackets in the country?!!

It was the Great Portland St subtitle that alerted me. As a student I walked past the Lewis leathers shop every day.
I wonder how many others are out there in junk shops ....?

You could pick up many vintage Lewis leathers jackets back in the 1970's around london's markets and 'swap shops', the famous Croydon swap Shop often had a good selection of old leather jackets and a few Irvins to boot!
