This is very interesting. Offhand the insignia suggests a WW2 82nd vet with Occupation/Cold War service who likely finished out his career during the era leading up to Operation Silver Bayonet; however, the jacket itself appears to be a civilian Alpha offering produced well subsequent to this time frame. The lack of the waist tab and aluminum zippers coupled with the epaulets are dead giveaways.

I'm anxious to hear what others have to say . . .
