WWII Russian Flight jackets

That's a very interesting photo since it suggests the current Russian leather flyer's jackets, which look virtually the same as these WW2 jackets, have a long pedigree. I had assumed the current jackets were just a modern civilian jacket which had been adopted by pilots, etc.

What do you think? Real or Fantasy?

It's a pity nobody on here mamaged to date the plane in the picture

Not a bad price I guess but leather looks a little suspect. Having said that I've been to Silvermans a few times and they do some reasonable stuff - it's tucked away in London's East End and good for modern military gear and sometimes has the odd decent G1 original but mainly low end copies like Alpha A2's but affordable gear - I bought a pair of RedWing gloves that were a lot less than I'd seen elsewhere (can't remember what I paid). Similarly my Randolph Aviator sunglasses were keenly priced, and was tempted by a used CBI patched repro A2 but was too small, ironically think it might have been an Aero Scotland!

This flight jacket belonged to the pilot and later to the Soviet cosmonaut (astronaut) Vladimir Komarov (tragically died with his crew during the spacecraft crash in 1967)
I apologize for low quality of the phone photo, it was very inconvenient to make good pics through the glass in museum illumination.

Not far I got this old photo, may be it will be interesting in this thread.

It show old russian flight leather jacket wear by Mi-1 heli pilot.
These picture from my old friend Victor, former helicopter pilot . Photo was taken in early 1950-s by his Mi-1 instructor, pilot Igor Tsimelman (unfortunately Igor has already died).

It never been published anywhere - photo from Victor's home archives.

original wwll-50s soviet belt backs show up now and again, but are usually in poor condition, as they were kept in the service and passed along from a discharged officer to the next incoming airman. also, when they are available, they are often in larger sizes, ie: 42, 44, 46.

Are those dead wolves by their feet?

Apparently yes, as the old people said, at that time was increasing wolves population, violating the natural balance and severely cutting sheep and causing great damage and were periodically shot back in Kakhakhstan.
