Just got my Aero D1 size 38 from Thurston Bros Stock page - It's seal sheepskin with russet Vicenza horsehide trim. Based on the collar style and design, I feel the D1 is the little brother to the B3. It's trimmer and neater in fit and argueably more versatile than it's heavier shearling brethren.

Must come with the Plane, Hanger, Runway and 6 months of fuel as well. :D :lol:

From November to April - We can get quite cold weather. The last 2-3 weeks in Calgary have been very cold and I have used my B3 everyday since I got it around mid Feb. I find just a plain long sleeved dress shirt with a under shirt with my B3 keeps me warm even down to -30C (-40 with windchill)...

Update Got a response from both Rob and Gary regarding my issue with the windflap. Both Rob and Gary felt that the sparseness of fleece in that area was due to the manufacturing process of the jacket. The windflap fleece is trimmed to 6mm in depth and due to the folding, seams and stitching...

Well said silver surfer. I just need to acknowledge that the rest of the jacket is great and stop nitpicking. I'm glad it's still cold here in calgary so I can continue to break it in. I'm getting such and upper body workout wearing thus thing :)

The thing is the jacket is brand new. I just got it last Tuesday evening. I think it was already like that when I got it. Is this normal for brand new jackets?

I have a copy of the old photos of the RW B3 and it's description. Apparently my RW B3 which I got earlier this week should have had the Warhorse horsehide on the sleeves and pocket. But my horsehide facings are not as grainy as is shown on their newer shots. I probably need to break it in more :)

Did anyone see the price of the roughwear B3 jump to 699.99 pounds. I'm glad I bought mine at the "cheap" 599.99. Sheepskin must be getting expensive :) However the standard B3 is still 549.99 Cheers
