I have had one for about ten years. Super lightweight and comfortable. The only criticism is that the pocket zips scratch your hands when your hands are in your pocket. But as my Dad would have said - "Get your hands out of your pockets and shoulders back!" :-)

Let's be accurate here. It was listed as "Immaculate" not "Mint". And it certainly is in immaculate condition - nobody has dribbled on it or been sick over it. It is in the same immaculate condition as when JL sold it in 2010, since when it has been stored in a moth proof cover and lightly...

Hopefully Cobblers will know as they are his jackets. However I am slightly puzzled myself. He refers to his Goat Dubow on his original posting in this thread. Perhaps he meant to say that the Rough Wear is goat and the Dubow is horse? Let's await his advice.

Having seen this jacket in the flesh I can concur that it is quite stunning. However I thought that Cobbler's last two A2s were also stunning - so I bought them off him! I wonder if this GW 1401-P will be languishing in my wardrobe in a few months time? :twisted:

I'd never really noticed this aspect on my A2s. After seeing your comment I checked my Buzz A2 and if anything the sleeves are MORE trim and tapered than my two Good Wears. Maybe they varied the cut?

That certainly is another great looking A2 variation.

I have a Buzz A2 from 2003 which is based on the Rough Wear but with a label "Buzz Rickson Clothing Co., Middletown, PA." However looking at the catalogue from that year they also produced a Bronco Hide waxed leather 30s model and a 1943 Model Bronco Hide. Both of these models carry a label...

Yes. Simple, short, boxy is good. Also - lightweight but still warm is good. It's the crocodile jaw zips ripping my delicate hands that frustrate me!
