    Horsehide VS. goatskin??

I've got more more people give me comments on my G&B jacket too! I don't know if it's the design of the jacket that looks like it was tailored for me, or if it's the subtle grey colour of the leather. The only jacket I get more comments on is a WEP jacket that I've patched up for a Star Gate...

    Horsehide VS. goatskin??

I can't type in German to save my life .......but it's the West German Border Guards (they went with green leather for their polizei lederjacke/ledermantel

    Horsehide VS. goatskin??

I'll second that! Goatskin is perfect for the higher temperatures and humidity we have in Australia.......and my G&B "Luftwaffe" flight jacket is as good as the originals I've handled......now if they only made the BGS "moss green" flight jacket I'd be a happy man

Aero 18775 , from (the) Real Simons

I don't know if my leather was from Poland......but it was made in China and the build quality and tailoring was quite impressive......but since it was made by a small store, I assume a mass factory wouldn't be as nice

Vintage MK3 RAF cold weather jacket

Wait the blue/grey are earlier versions? I used to wear one as a teen to and from work (I used to ride a bicycle for about 45mins back and forth)

Nice leather......looks like my Double Helux (yes.....you read that right......it's a bloody brilliant Chinese knock off of a Double Helix D Pocket) If it's the same leather, you'll get a lovely reddish brown undertone on the high wear points

I swear that jacket would be perfect for Australian climates......the only improvement would be canvas weight fabric

I ended up with a 58 in a slightly different style and a 56 in this style. Found them on a German "Gumtree/Craigslist" style site, the shipping wasn't cheap but definitely worth the money

Corcorans I find are way too narrow across the foot/the tongue seam bites the top of my foot......they look amazing though

    Coat hangers

That's cheaper than a cedar boot tree........and considering the eye watering amount people pay for their jackets, it would be well worth the money! Personally I'll just leave my jackets on the spare bed or the mannequins, since mine are more robust and generally "newer" compared with the other...

These are my "it's bloody cold at 6am to walk the damned dog"/winter motorbike boots...... Built like a brick outhouse and are lined in a fantastic wool felt. The leather is going to take ages to bed into my footshape, the buckles help me get the perfect fit and the stormwelt has a layer of...

Oh they look lovely! I've been looking at a pair on a Finn website that's got rubber half soles......but I'm still trying to find a way to slip them past a wife that thinks I'm Imelda Marcos with my boot collection

I love that version......but it's hard to find them bigger than a GR 52

Like almost anything the Germans make (Model 2000 boots excepted......) it's top quality materials and fairly well tailored for a "general purpose" garment

A2's are great if you have slim to no biceps and a narrow neck......unfortunately I'm built like a dwarf/scrum half/quarter back  The G1 is more forgiving for my body shape though I like MC jackets and longer coats fir practicality
