I agree that the jacket appears (to me) no later than 60's. Perhaps the photos are not showing the patina and wear. It is not a "conmatic" zipper; just a regular Conmar with a rectangular pull. Unfortunately, the zipper is missing two teeth...

The pocket has not been replaced; it is open to show the darker leather on the interior. From my experience "modern" jackets more often than not had synthetic fabric liners, not actual sheepskin. Thanks for the input everyone!

I looked a little more closely at the zipper itself, and I am certain that the zipper is a replacement. There are stitch holes in the leather behind the zipper from what I think is the original. In addition, the sewing pattern along the zipper is not as uniform as elsewhere in the jacket...
