  • Hi vick I woundered if you know of any really nice condition MA1 jackets in size small I brought your good wear dubow 1755 from you some years ago.

I followed the thread on your Aero 40-3785-P and it looks to have real solid leather. I prefer an A-2 to be as original as can be but I feel there's nothing wrong with restoring knits and lining if you plan on wearing it.
According to modern Aero only a handful are known to still exist. Yours looks to be in above average condition and only the I'd say if it fits wear it.

look for hide thinning on the right sleeve and shoulder. the sellers pix seem to indicate thinning. if it is, it can be dealt with when you have the liner and possibly the knit elements replaced. if the jacket was mine, I would also replace the zipper with a pre war talon. I would strongly suggest Steve sellers for doing the work, and the purchase of the proper weight and weave liner material from elc.

Thanks fer the tips ~ I've handled many originals over the years and find the weak points in leather is shoulders and upper back with cracking and peeling. I was looking for a depot re-die in any contract that I could wear but kinda lucked out with this very rare Aero. And I'm also going to change the neck clasp to period correct..........Doug

Do you still have the Aero 1711-P available for sale?
Do you have the actual contacts for Steve Sellers and Dave Sheeley? This relates to getting a replacement, detachable lighter color collar for an A-2 style jack. You referenced those names in a post another member had, same issue as mine. Thank you in advance. New to this forum and find it very intimidating.
The images of Francis Goldsberry were posted on April 17, 2014 and the thread was started by Roughwear. I hope that refreshes your memory. Thanks, Phil
Vic's Ac 23379 Dubow size 42 My wife, Andria Goldsberry Karshner is trying to find information on her uncle, Francis R. Goldsberry. Francis was her brother. She doesn't have anything from his military days. My question is, do you still have the photos and training records or know who has them? Any leads to any other photos, documents or personal items would be profoundly appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Phil
