I will list the facts about this transaction here:

This jacket is purchased from Neil Lands, an Ebay seller under the username nellyjames. The item was located in Westcliff-on-sea, as shown on the original Ebay listing.

Thank you also from my side - should help to prevent anyone to buy from that source ...

@Pilot don't think he's got any argument now as he acquiesced to the full refund on PayPal :D Returned the jacket through track & sign yesterday. According to PayPal, once the tracking shows it's delivered, I should get all the money back from PayPal.

Maybe our all contribution also helped.

Glad to hear it looks like it will end well for you Nahua.

It’ll be interesting to see how the jacket is described when it reappears on eBay, as it surely will, I have no doubt.

Update:

Still have not received refund as this Mr. Lands somehow picked up the item without the post office personnel scanning it. So Royal Mail tracking shows that the item is not delivered yet and PayPal will not refund me despite that Mr. Lands showed me on email that he received the item with the packaging I used when returning the jacket.

It seems that this situation is forcing me into claiming an insurance refund from PostNord (Swedish post office) while Mr. Lands will keep both the jacket and the PayPal money I sent since PayPal will probably not refund me if Royal Mail does not show successful delivery. Either I am over-complicating the situation or this is a master play at cheating someone of money...

Sorry to read that.
Most of the national mail systems, like DHL (DE) , LA POSTE, ROYAL MAIL etc have only a very week traceability once the parcel left their system...after that they cooperate with a local mail delivery, with a lot of incompatibilities and incompetences as well...
If there is not a prime carrier or courrier service like DHL INTERNATIONAL ( not DE), FEDEX, EMS, UPS, etc...the parcel is like lost after transfering in another subcontracted juridiction...
Sometime its worth paying the 60 Euro extra...ontop of the insured tracable DHL (DE) for instance...experienced similar very recently....A new member here did not want to pay the 115 Euro shipping via courrier service for my BR jackets to be sent to Russia...Sorry no risk taken...finally Thomas got them...all fine...but I would never give in on shipping costs...regardless what the receiver tells or believes.
Sorry about this situation Nkang.

Hi Nahua, I’m really confused. What has the Swedish Post Office got to do with it?

Surely as this guy is in the UK and you sent the jacket back by Royal Mail recorded delivery? As such the post office either deliver and you have proof of delivery for paypal, or Royal Mail have lost it and you claim the value of the item from them. Clearly I’m missing something here but would like to help.

Cheers

@stanier Hi Chris, I'm based in Sweden (was only in London for 3 months on exchange semester to LSE when I bought the B-10 from you) so when I returned the jacket, it was handled by PostNord first and then transferred to Royal Mail. Thus there's another level of complicated-ness since I need to first contact Royal Mail to confirm that they claim the jacket is "missing". Then I need to show Royal Mail's message to PostNord and proceed to filing a complaint. PostNord will then contact Royal Mail again and make a decision for the insurance on missing item. Given that PostNord is not funded enough to take on the ever increasing volume of goods arriving in Sweden, their response time is very long and the issue has been dragging on.

On the PayPal front, the dispute team also seems to have too many cases to handle and I don't think I'll get an answer from them anytime soon despite an update on May 1st that was in my favor. This is all unnecessarily complicated but I'm hoping for the best still :) Thanks a lot for your inquiry and I hope this resolves your confusion!

I had a similar issue until a forum member made a call to the local Police. Provide the local Police station with all the details over the phone. Lodge an online internet fraud complaint. A knock on the door from one of Britain's finest might sway the seller...
