Found on google while reseaching for a new catalogue we are in the process of producing.
The title say's British General, Jacket looks like a B-3 but what the heck..........

The fellow in the poster looks to be based on Major General Sir Bernard Freyberg VC, commander of the 2nd NZ EF and 2nd NZ Div, although I've yet to see a photo of him in any sheepskin flying jacket. The Shermans aren't out of place though as the Kiwis used them significantly during the Italian campaign.

Nice poster.

I think the man we're looking at is General Harold Alexander. He was involved in the dessert campaign and I saw pics on the internet of him wearing a B-3 jacket.

Great spot,I thinkyoumust be correct, note the light growth on the upper lip on both images :>)

Yup you're definitely right. That's the problem with all these British generals with moustaches faffing about in the field - they all look the same!
