What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Generally speaking, the m422a's had slightly larger collars than their post war comrades along with a more comfortable fit, but it did vary. I've had a G&F (red lining), ET Church, and an FO, all had larger collars, but the largest was the Gordon and Ferguson which comes to a pointed end almost squared off compared to other contracts, which I think looks much smarter. The Church has a more rounded collar end, and the FO is in-between.

On another note, bit unusual for me to post a jacket wear shot this time of year as lately temp has been nudging closer to 40'c, but the Snowies got a light dusting of snow overnight and the subsequent cold front made its up our way. Just back from a cruise in the delightfully cooler air in The ELC '33 Weber.

been quite temperate here in South Carolina so I dug out the M-1943 field jacket

Love the look of an M-43 the later jackets just don't have that classic look

Bloody freezing here, blowing a gale and no pictures as it was too cold to press the button on the camera. I completely piked out and went for the modern super high tech parka.

But hey we have the sun back here so proper sunlight, albeit a touch low on the horizon and then it buggers off after half an hour or so.

Can see you Tim out their for half/hour stripped to the pants in a deck chair with with 2 polished stainless steel sun reflectors, just like Radar from MASH 4077. Just enough for some Vitamin D.

It was a bit like that Matt! We spent the weekend up in the mountains at one of the family cottages/cabins. -17 ambient (wind was 18m/s so effective temp was -33ish) but absolutely beautiful and I was snug as a bug in a rug in thermals, fleece lined boots and a Canada Goose. The Norwegians have a saying, "Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær - There's no bad weather, just bad clothing"

On the way up...

Yes, that's what they say when they are sitting on a beach in Spain...or visiting their mates in Southern Australia....

If it's cold you can always do something to get warm, put clothes on, make a fire, have a sauna, make love to your significant other, etc.

But if it's really hot there's not so much you can do, sure crank the air con up, drink beer. I don't know how many times in Melbourne I sat outside in the garden in my undies with a beer when it was over 40C and still wished I could pull my skin off.

Beautiful place Tim, one day would like to visit.

Matt, if you ever make it up here, it would be my pleasure to show you guys around.
