I found a pic the other day of a chap wearing one but now can't seem to find it. I'll have a bit more of a poke around and see if I can find it again.
And Eric, in terms of fit what's your advice on sizing? I want to be able to wear it over a shirt and jumper here as I'll use it when I'm in the woods or up at one of the family cottages/cabins in the mountains in summer. Is it best to order your normal size, or go up or down?

As a friendly suggestion, why not just ask Jerry for some measurements and additional photos?
You could also invite him to join the group. Juan from WWII Impressions sometimes posts, as does several of the other owners of similar companies. I noticed that much of WPG's operations have moved to the UAE, so it is hard to know how much things have changed...mostly wondering if Jerry is drifting towards retirement. He used to be pretty much a one man show, but always had the time to discuss his many products...both originals and his newest creations. His California warehouse was fun to visit...though I have not been in years...need to think about doing that again.

I probably will Uncle. I've bought a few things from WPG over the years and have apart from one been very happy with what I've received. The last time I ordered from them in 2014, the order was dispatched from the UAE. Probably makes sense for them in a way as I think a lot of the things are made on the subcontinent.

Tim...the minor "flaw" in your thinking is the "them" is really one guy...Jerry.
I am not sure how the UAE guys fit in now, but if you peel the onion, it has always been one guy...and that guy is like most of us...but with way more toys and the vision and energy to create more. Jerry is the model for much of what he sells, and has walked the walk for years....going back long before anybody in the States cared about anything but American and German stuff. He'd show up at events fully dressed in British kit...most all original back then...though some pieces if you asked him show you the date stamps were from the 1950's or 1960's, but who cared? His long range patrol "desert rat" outfit comes to mind...that was just normal everyday attire for him...as was his Indiana Jones look ...as were his occasional showings in kilts, full battledress, and ???. He sometimes showed up in his American offerings, but his love has always been British.
Anyway, just trying to say I think you can approach this like you know him...he is a nice guy, and loves this stuff.

I did not mean to imply he was always perfectly dressed like he was heading to a period reenactment, but he does wear what is on his website, often mixed and matched to great effect. Yes, a bit of a character, but not any more so than the rest of the long term nut cases that like and appreciate any of this stuff. Going to have to find out about what goes on in the UAE versus the US...there are opportunities over the course of the year to maybe run into him...will try to remember to ask.

This is a superb smock, it literally looks like it was issued yesterday! Love it, my god it's nice!!!
On the repros, I did put my name on the list (last year) for one of Frank Brown, very nice Denison. It's like GW in some sort...

My thinking is along the following lines:
1. Money in the bank gathers no interest
2. Truly high quality ORIGINAL collectibles always increase in value over time
3. The things i buy give me more pleasure than money in the bank
4. Should the banking system collapse, i would lose my money
5. If 4 happens, i still have my things
6. The high end collectibles market will probably outlast any banking collapse
My thinking is along the following lines:
1. Money in the bank gathers no interest

3. The things i buy give me more pleasure than money in the bank
