What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Winters here so out come the big guns! ELC Perry B-3 and Poughkeepsie AN-J-4.

Two great jackets, but that B-3 is smoking!
Fits like it was tailored for you.
I like everything about it, from the color contrast to the great shine of the leather.

Not jacket but vest - made in china and altered with patch and some stenciling - put 1 additional day on top of a biz-trip and went for a motorbike ride through the "Joshua Tree National Park" with my wife and some pals - 5 bikes - 6 persons - my wife handled the HD Heritage like a toy was proud like hell - I was ridin` a road king

meanwhile back to MEX waiting for the ELC B3 from TIBOR

Thomas........Great post.
I like everything you've got going on there. The vest, the HD Road King and the road trip.
Looks like you had a beautiful day as well.

Finally rained while I was home in the Bay Area for Thanksgiving, the perfect time to break out some winter gear! ATF fleece tanker, HBT jacket, surplus German wool scarf, and SM Wholesale roughouts

Tanker looks good! Spot on fit.
Did you water proof the SM Roughouts?

falcon - looks great

the SM Wholesale Roughouts come pre-treated/oiled

Hey, did ATF fix the zipper issue? looks like it doesn't go all the way to the top of the collar, they its supposed to

That tanker looks superb. I've had my eye on ATF's fleece tanker for a month or two now and that photo Falcon has just added to my wanting of one ;)

Thanks so much guys!

Yes, the roughouts came pre-dubbed and held up very well on a few lovely hikes around the coastside.

It's my understanding that the zip on original tankers only goes up about halfway on the collar, same as ATF and WWII Imp repros. However, I'm also pretty sure the zipper on originals doesn't extend all the way to the bottom of the jacket. ATF's does, but it's a small detail that doesn't bother me (especially for the price!)

Here, the zipper starts a little bit above the bottom of the jacket and ends about halfway up the collar. Photo taken from http://olive-drab.com/od_soldiers_clothing_combat_ww2_jacket_combat_winter.php

IMO the only other thing that detracts from the ATF tanker is the weird horizontal ribs on the collar and waistband knits. They're only present on the inside, which isn't very noticeable if you're wearing it. You can see the ribs in the pictures on the ATF website, but since I've washed and worn my jacket many times they're far less visible than the ribs in the pictures.

Hope that helps. Overall it's a great jacket and I love it - pick one up Smithy!

Windsor Great Park. Sacrilege I know, but a modern North Face puffer jacket and a Failsworth, Harris Tweed Peaky Blinders cap.
Eastman A-10 gloves peaking out of my pocket.

I can't cast stones, I succumbed to my Canada Goose parka the day before yesterday when it was -7 and strong winds. I was jolly glad I did too!

Nice cap BTW.
