Slightly off topic but I'm wearing my 42-1401P with these flying gloves as I head out the door.... I got lucky on feebay this week and scored these beautiful summer flying gloves!
Immaculate condition, supple with a slight patina on the finger tips. close to Russet in color.

hey, those flying gloves are pretty cool. cut a coupla inches off of them, and .....aw, what the hell. nifty.
LOL! well, I'd rather not destroy the original condition and it would also cut away most of the inside manufacturer stamp info inside so if I ever decide to sell them... I'm sure there are a lot of collectors out there that would have my horse hide if they knew I was actually USING them! Blasphemy! but I use them lightly and with care. :) I also have a pair of early post war in dark seal cut and stitched exactly the same! one has to have a half inch resown as the stitching came apart in one area in the cuff section but they are still useable... just don't tell any WW2 collectors that I am wearing them while driving! :D

Edward, you need to fold them down the way the Three Musketeers folded down their boots.
Very swashbuckling.

I seriously have to get a tanker. I'd never even considered one and then I saw Fury, and then I've seen the member pics here, and then the pics of them being used as flying jackets.

Might ease myself in with an ATF example to start with although here at the moment it's now real B-10 and Irvin weather, and I give it another week or two and it'll be Irvin and submariner jumper weather. I feel sorry for those poor buggers who live in tropical climes :D
