And therein lies the difference between the officers issued uniform vs an enlisted mans issued uniform. Officers were expected to be prepared for all encounters with the enemy . Even if they were the opposite sex .:rolleyes:

Same back home in NZ. I remember we had this Yank exchange student at school in the 6th form and he sniggered and guffawed the entire year when anybody mentioned if they "had a rubber" :)
