I would not recommend shortening the sleeves on this original. You just need to grow your arms at bit!LOL

Leave well alone. Shortening the sleeves on this original will spoil the integrity of the jacket and devalue it if you decide to re-sell.

Why do you need to change the knits? Unless they are completely shot I would just repair the original ones.

Agreed. Leave this as an original. This is why so many begin the search for the "perfect fit". You may never find it. You have found a nicely preserved original!

I'll try to fix them.
They have already been repaired.
But with fabric inside.
I will sew to another knit inside, this will strengthen and tighten the original knit.
