the pic above it the one i got "orgueile". the cow hides are better then expected. in fact, quite nice, and have the look of hides that will break in and age well.

So, you don't think the jacket is actually horsehide? The ad clearly states:
japanese horse skin leather for black jacket / italian cow skin leather for brown jacket
As well as the last black cossack jacket posted: 'made by Japanese horse leather'
I don't find it difficult to believe, considering that I was able to purchase a brand new Nakata Shoten A-2 in horsehide for under $300.00 USD (Very nice horsehide used). AliExpress is pretty stringent with their rules for sellers, and do not release the funds to the seller unless the buyer is satisfied with their purchase. I wouldn't think the seller would take the risk of possibly having a significant amount of the purchase price refunded to the buyer for misrepresenting the hide type, although it may be difficult to prove beyond a doubt.

the collar label reads "genuine leather", as does the tag with the buttons. not to mention the care tag sewn in the liner. no mention what so ever of what kinda hide. my educated guess, however, is cow, not hh. i would even go so far as to say water buffalo. but then again, without a dna test, this would be purely supposition. does it matter? and then to who? frankly it does not to me. my concern, as written earlier, is that they sent a size medium [size 38], not a large as ordered. too bad, too small.
