Photos Pete Photos! You know it ain't nuthin without photos.

I'll be taking the trusty N-1 to Berlin, along with the A-2, CVC and M-65 minus liner. I hope the apt is spacious ;-)

Just returned from Salzburg Austria, it was cold but not sheepskin cold (5c) so I wore my BR B2. So comfortable and not too overstated.

Steve, I'm hoping we won't need N-1's at the end of April, although the A-2 might go down well in those leather clubs I was telling you about. Lol. Yup, it arrived from Japan customs charge free and I'm chuffed with it. Fit is perfect, colour is exactly like an original and it's itch free. Gripes are, it's not as heavy and thick as an original and the U.S.N. stencil, while being the correct font, is bigger than on originals. Surely it's as easy to make it right as wrong ?

Wore a lighter leather jacket that looked GREAT but was miserable in the cold weather! Lesson learned.

Pete..... looks great mate! Fits very nicely just don't let the stencil bug you.
Funnily enoughI came across one of the Paul NewmanN-1 shots and you can make out the stencil that looks just like..... wait for it......... the dreaded Buzz Demotex version.
I'll find it and post her up.

Man, reading about Berlin now, gonna be a helluva trip! I'm thinking we should have gone for 5 nights after all :-/

Did the weight of originals change over the years? I've come across them on racks in used clothing stores and there seemed to be some variation, just as there is with the repros...BR's 'sea water wash' N-1, for example, is heavier than the regular one. Similarly there seems to be some variation with the stencils; I wonder if this is down to when they were originally applied or if they would get redone if the first one completely faded? Glad to hear it's comfortable, the most important thing!

Miles, you're right. A comfortable fit is the most important thing. No matter how nice a jacket is, if it doesn't feel right it ends up staying in the wardrobe.

for original N1`s there have been some different variants at least with the stencils and i`m sure due to the fact that the jackets have been produced at different companies there may also some deviations in weight possible

again checkered shirt - it`s 25 degree Celsius here in Mexico

testride on a HD - didn`t buy

had bad luck with Photobucket last few times I tried to upload and post pics. The SM Wholesale is an upgrade from the ATF Tanker with better knits and zipper that does NOT go to the very to of the collar. ATF is still a great bargain and the fleece lined ones new are $99.

It's raining in Cornwall, so I'm going for the Barbour Border, in as-new condition, which I bought for twenty quid in a charity shop in Newquay.
