Gents,

Here is the latest pattern, the RW 27752 "Test Jacket"...now to grade the rest of the sizes, and I will be offering this contract very soon.

Built using "Rockford" horsehide by Horween Chicago, this is one very easy wearing jacket. Original
NOS "Anzo" style snaps throughout, and with reproduction M-42 Talon from Japan, with
original Talon slider.

A 27752, my favourite A2. Dave I know it is a test jacket. But, there is no way that the collar hook and loop would meet........The loop need to be closer to the hook.

Funny thing perception! It closes perfectly, btw. Much like this one....

au contraire, mon ami, on originals they were mounted all over the place, often as not on a bias, as well as at absurd distances. i do not remember ever having seen a wwll pic of a guy wearing an a-2 with the collar clasp closed, and for that matter i have never been able to use the collar clasps to close up a collar on an original or repro in any size. dunno why they were put on a-2s in the first place, unless the aaf was overly populated with pencil necks.

Yes, funny thing perception. This is the second most beautiful Rough Wear my old eyes have ever beheld. Be careful Dave, you're liable to start something here. Kudos.

The jackets just keep getting better and better. The leather really suits this contract.

The throat clasp serves the same function as collar straps on a B3, B6, B10 etc. and keep the neck protected. These work best with collar stands, as below.

Same leather, but it starts out in a lighter shade than this, then partially darkened to a similar color, Skip.

I really like the way that jacket came out. I'm asking out of ignorance---safe to say that nomenclature tags were placed at variable height levels as well? Congrats, looks astonishing.

As with all things from back then, sewing was all over the map, but traditionally, at least with RW, it should be closer to the hanger bar probably. Way to spot those details!
